heat 11’s latest project involves the installation of a waste heat boiler with a thermal capacity of + 11 MW, which efficiently recovers waste heat from an incineration plant for production residues in the chemical industry. By using heat 11’s innovative boiler technologies, the energy is converted into thermal oil by means of heat recovery from the exhaust gases. It provides a sustainable energy source for heating various consumers within the production process. The raw materials from this production are in turn used in the #renewable energy generation sector.

The realization of such a project requires more than just technical know-how. A particular challenge was the coordination and monitoring of various subcontractors as well as the #engineering of the thermal oil part to meet the required chemical industry specifications. The heat 11 team worked closely with all parties involved to ensure that each component met the strict industry standards and match harmoniously.
Logistical highlights:
The logistical handling is also impressive within this project. The wasteheat boiler, with a length of 15 meters, a width of 4.2 meters and a total weight of around 63 tons, was transported on a 39-meter-long truck train, known as a boiler bridge. This extraordinary journey began at the production site, led to the port, across the Rhine to the Ruhr area and finally to the customer’s construction site. Detailed route planning was necessary, including the dismantling of individual transport elements, in order to make the special transport possible.
