Forbo Flooring Systems is well known as a manufacturer of high-quality floor coverings. The factory in Coevorden (NL) is their largest production site for vinyl flooring products. for commercial and residential use.
Due to the conversion to solvent-free production processes, the regenerative thermal oxidation systems (RTO) previously used to heat up the thermal oil-heated components were no longer appropriate in terms of energy efficiency.

Production space is fundamentally valuable and is almost always limited, particularly in the case of existing systems: Thus, the new, gas-fired heaters were set up outside in the immediate vicinity of the production systems. Due to the heat11 version with ‘skirt support’, the burner systems can be installed at the bottom of the heater in a service-friendly manner and without complex operating platforms. At the same time, this design also offers excellent weather protection. The two gas-fired heaters with 1.9 MW and 3.5 MW demonstrate that this version is a technically and commercially interesting solution also in this capacity range.
A particular challenge for all revamp-projects was the tight schedule: The conversion had to be completed during the summer break, which was planned anyway, in order to reduce production downtime to a minimum.
