A special project marks a milestone in the history of heat 11. The 1,000th order has been delivered. The recipient is Lorenz Snacks GmbH & Co. KG in Kreba Neudorf. There, the thermal oil plant with a heat output of 700 kW supplies a fryer within a new production line with process heat.
A new production line, precisely engineered
The task was clearly defined. A newly established production line was to be supplied with process heat reliably and efficiently. Because the line is newly built rather than replacing an existing one, heat generator, thermal oil circuit, consumer and control system had to be planned as a coordinated overall system. With 700 kW of heat output, the plant is designed to meet the exact requirements of the fryer.
The fryer is heated via a secondary circuit. It connects the primary heat supply to the specific requirements of the fryer and enables a demand-based control of the process temperature at the point of use. The scope of delivery includes an external control panel installed directly at the secondary circuit. All operating functions can be monitored and controlled at a suitable point within the production area. The overall plant is controlled via a PLC.

93 percent efficiency and compliant with the 44th BImSchV
A key efficiency feature is the air preheater. The combustion air is preheated to around 200 °C using residual heat from the flue gas before it reaches the burner. Fuel consumption drops noticeably. The plant achieves an efficiency of 93 percent. A value that translates directly into lower operating costs and reduced emissions during continuous operation.
Equally important as the efficiency of a plant is compliance with the applicable regulations for reducing emission levels. The plant meets the relevant requirements of the 44th BImSchV, the German ordinance defining emission limits as well as measurement, monitoring and documentation obligations for medium-sized combustion plants. For Lorenz Snacks, this means long-term planning security.

Compact inside a 30-foot High Cube container
The complete plant is installed inside a 30-foot High Cube container. Compared to a standard container, this design offers additional internal height and brings all key components together in a clearly defined unit. The benefit for the project: many assembly and integration steps take place before installation on site. The plant can be transported safely and connected to the new production line via defined interfaces. Interventions in ongoing production areas are kept to a minimum.
From assembly to commissioning
The scope of the order includes mechanical and electrical assembly as well as commissioning. heat 11 installs and connects the process components, integrates drives, sensors, switching systems and control components, and finally commissions the plant. Only then does the interaction of the entire plant concept become visible under real operating conditions. From heat generation via the secondary circuit through to the supply of the fryer.
The 1,000th order stands for the experience heat 11 has gained in planning and implementing industrial process heat plants. And it stands for 1,000 individual projects in which technical design, regulatory requirements and operational conditions were brought together.
